The Founder

Heather Payne is the Founder and Creative Director of Emerging Heroes.

Born in Toronto and a proud New Yorker for 25 years, Payne, a former model, has graced the pages of renowned magazines including Vogue, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar. She has enjoyed a successful career working with top tier designers on the runway and in advertising campaigns.

Through her unique insight into the world of fashion, Payne was one of the first to notice a need in the market for clothing that combined a streetwear aesthetic with luxe comfort and performance. She began her journey in 2011 with the launch of her first brand PAYNE Apparel, which has been carried nationally and internationally by most major department stores and celebrated boutiques and gyms.

Payne has most recently turned her keen attention to creating her new brand, Emerging Heroes. Her focused desire has been to align her passion for making positive change in the world with her love of fashion and art. Her mission has always been to empower others to follow their dreams.
